Simple poached eggs

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serves: 1 person


Two free-range eggs, room temperature

1 litre water



  1. In a small saucepan, fill with water and bring to boil
  2. Crack open both eggs into a glass
  3. Gently pour the eggs into boiling water and take pan off the heat
  4. Cover pan and let it sit to cook the egg your way:
    – Soft – 2-3 mins
    – Medium – 3-4 mins
    – Hard – 4-6 mins
