Vegan Chocolate (and Avocado) Mousse

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 2 hours in fridge

Serves: 2 people


1 avocado or 300g Coconut yoghurt or tin of coconut cream

¼ cup cacao powder

¼ cup maple syrup

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tbsp orange juice

¼ tsp lemon juice

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Serve with toppings of your choice:

  • Chia seed (gel)
  • Coconut shreds
  • Orange/lemon zests
  • Seeds
  • Berries
  • Mint leaves


  1. In a large bowl, mix well the yoghurt or cream with cacao powder and maple syrup until it tastes like chocolate
  2. Add the cinnamon, juices and vanilla to enrich the chocolate flavour and taste
  3. Balance the flavour to suit you
