Slow cooked Meat dishes
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 180 minutes
Serves: 1-2 people
Ingredients:
Pork, lamb, beef or chicken, rested at room temperature
Cooking oil or butter
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2-3 tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon stock powder
1-2 tablespoons tomato paste
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon soy or tamari sauce
1 cup red wine
1 cup water (or liquid stock if not using stock powder)
Instructions
- Heat a saucepan on medium heat
- Add oil to heat up
- Add meat and cook 2-3 mins on both sides
- Add onion, garlic and tomatoes
- Add all flavours
- Add liquids levelled with the meat
- Turn heat down to lowest heat
- Cover and cook for 2-3 hours
- When meat is soft, let it rest uncovered for 10 mins
- Serve with rice and green beans
Cooking time
If cooking chicken, cook for 1-1 ½ hours
If cooking fish, cook for 30 mins
