Slow cooked Meat dishes

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Cooking time: 180 minutes

Serves: 1-2 people


Pork, lamb, beef or chicken, rested at room temperature

Cooking oil or butter

1 onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

2-3 tomatoes, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 tablespoon stock powder

1-2 tablespoons tomato paste

Salt and pepper

1 tablespoon soy or tamari sauce

1 cup red wine

1 cup water (or liquid stock if not using stock powder)


  1. Heat a saucepan on medium heat
  2. Add oil to heat up
  3. Add meat and cook 2-3 mins on both sides
  4. Add onion, garlic and tomatoes
  5. Add all flavours
  6. Add liquids levelled with the meat
  7. Turn heat down to lowest heat
  8. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours
  9. When meat is soft, let it rest uncovered for 10 mins
  10. Serve with rice and green beans

Cooking time
If cooking chicken, cook for 1-1 ½ hours
If cooking fish, cook for 30 mins
